...AND THE LIVIN' IS EASY!

Nothing like a summer day spent by cousins playing in the kiddie pool in Grammie's yard. Here are Mekenzie, Maddie and Tanner running for the big splash. This must have been tremendous fun because they did it for hours! Here's Maddie making a run for it alone.

Later that day, there was bike riding, lunch on the patio, hide & seek and visits to a neighbor's popsicle stand down the street. I mean does this sound like a 1940's movie or what!??%!

Last, but not least, are the kids with orange mouths. Charming, huh? Just keeping busy during the family Yard Sale . Great times.

KISSIN' COUSINS

Madison and Tanner are a year apart and best friends. While spending the day at Grammie's, they played and played. Maddie is reading to Tanner during a rare, quiet moment.

After running, bike and scooter riding, poor Tanner suffered some injuries. He fell off the scooter and landed face down on our aggregate driveway. Ow-w-w! Scraps on both palms and a pretty bad cut on his knee. Madison was there to offer comfort and support. Good thing that Grammie has her Emergency First Aid Kit fully stocked. ( Note: Tanner recovered fully in a couple of days.)

WATCH US PLAY

Like I said previously, it's been a busy summer and we've just started! Grammie has full time care of Mekenzie and Madison this summer while their mom (Amy) works each day. They spend the night Mondays and Wednesdays because mom has to be at work by 7:00 a.m. They help Grammie around the house doing chores, then we practice reading and math. Finally we have fun with cooking or crafts. Below is a photo of our version of Monkey Munch. Yummm!Here's Grammie with Kenzie hard at work at the stove.

Maddie and Kenzie painted and decorated their initials to hang in their rooms. Good job, girls!

Sorry for the poor photo skills of the photogragher here. Girls are potato-printing teeshirts.

Really, it was fun despite the weird expressions.

BUSY SUMMER
